The Ask

Catamaran’s marketing team challenged spinTouch to develop a technology forward interactive experience at their brand new innovation center in downtown Chicago. This experience would need to serve as a marketing and sales enablement tool for clients and prospects. Catamaran’s goal was to clearly communicate their dedication to technology and innovation in a way clients would never forget so that new partnerships and opportunities would follow.

The Strategy & Experiences

spinTouch made a trip to Catamaran’s existing tour center and played the role of the client to better understand core marketing and value based messaging. Overridden with out of date technology and confusing sales presentations, it was apparent that new and innovative interactive solutions were needed. Through a collaborative discovery process, spinTouch’s interactive strategists crafted engaging digital solutions to deliver client driven presentations via touch tables, interactive displays, and gesture based video walls. All interactive hardware was powered by spinTouch’s RFID based recognition software that automatically tailors digital content to a specific user’s interests and needs.

Technology Solutions:

  • User recognition 3×3 gesture video wall to create a warm welcome for visitors up arrival. Guests can check their agenda, read Catamaran press releases, and even check their departing traffic/flight information
  • 120” multi user interactive touch table experience to deliver PBM solution benefits through omnidirectional HD videos and images.
  • Giant 3×6 gesture video walls and 2×2 interactive video walls to showcase Catamaran’s experience and accolades across various client verticals.
  • TruWindow™ virtual experience combines facial recognition technology and 4k content allowing guests to digitally step foot into Catamarn’s pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

INNOVATION NOW

The Results

After just one month of the new Catamaran innovation center opening, the impact of the technology overhaul was felt from the sales team and all the way up to the C-Level. Visiting clients were engaged at a whole new level and new business across all verticals was percolating. In addition to new opportunities arising, guests were excited to share their experience at Catamaran’s innovation center with their peers and friends. Even mayor Rahm Emanuel caught wind of all the buzz and made a media day out of it.
